Ever since Thursday, I have been consumed by the hectic days and gladly go to bed at night. The blog was barely touched as I posted a few updated on Facebook. Not enough hours in the days.
We rushed to Memphis Thursday through a heck of a storm. I got Nate to the train station that night, then Ang and I checked into a hotel room. Friday, we made the best of being stranded in Memphis with Alex and Aiden. I got Alex on the AMTRAC at 1 AM on Saturday morning. 10 AM Saturday, we made the call, after hearing Summer’s appointments were clear till Tuesday to make the 6+ hour drive home. We cleaned like heck after getting home because we had dropped everything a few days earlier to head south. Sunday, we celebrated Christmas with Summer and Aiden. Later in the day, Linda, Julie, Don, and Dawn came over to wish us a Merry Christmas. Then Nate came by till nearly midnight to play games and be with Summer.
Monday, today… We said our goodbyes. Angela and Summer headed out for the week. Aiden and I got the round bale of hay situated in the pasture. That’s a story that needs completion. Tonight, he wanted me to watch Avatar with him so we can see the movie later this week. It’s 11PM again.
I am pooped! It was a frantic pace, but we pulled off a Christmas somehow. It’s those prayers. Thanks to all of you who keep thinking of Summer and the family.
Nate is planning on relieving Angela next weekend and I will be back down in a few weeks. Don, Dawn, and Sylvia have signed up for weeks in February and March. Pretty awesome.
That’s all I got tonight. I have stories to tell, but at their core, they are all about things coming together.
Merry Christmas.
