Constant rain=Constant mowing!
I have trying to keep the lawn under control while doing renovations to the bedrooms. But, its been looking a little rough. Add the fact that the weed-eater is out of 2 stroke oil (strike that, I couldn’t find the bottle I just bought) and you have a yard that appears slightly out of control. It was so bad by the field access road behind the house, that the farmer mowed part of my lawn on Friday! Yikes!
I ended up getting the whole yard mowed during a break in the rain, Sunday afternoon.
Worse than that…
Went to get the deck mower installed on “Katy” (The Kubota) yesterday… The battery was dead. Once I got her jumped, she would not start to save her life! I felt like I was trying to get her started in the cold of January. It was bad. Got her going… Got down to the back barn, swapped out the blade for the mower… Brought her back up to chain the arms in place…
That’s when I saw the oil dripping out of a supply line on what I am guessing is the oil pump. Now comes the gruesome task of deciding how I want to get it fixed. Ask the neighbor… Find the local tractor repair shop… Or, last resort, use the local Kubota dealer. (Isn’t that ironic that I would prefer not to use the local manufacturer shop, when I work at a manufacturer shop? I’ve heard too many bad stories)
As you can guess… I didn’t mow the pasture!
I did get my office mostly moved. Let me add this… If We installed the IKEA Billy shelves on 2 walls of the room. (Pictures soon) My body is still sore from carrying those boxes! They had to be 100 pounds or more for a few of them! Got a new desk. Moved my PC over. Added a hard drive while I had access to it. Now, I just have to figure out how to move my iTunes library to the new drive without losing the play-list data.
More complaining soon! Stay tuned!
