I was watching a movie over the Netflix app on my ipad last night (Zombieland if you must know), and a warning message popped up that said I was had 20% remaining of my 2 gig monthly plan.
It then asked me to buy more bandwidth.
Most people might think this sounds out of line and like a rip off… Well, you have not had a Verizon Wireless service. They give me 5 gigs a month and charge me a “scooch” less than the AT&T data plan on the ipad. But, unlike AT&T… They just let you run over your monthly limit… And start charging you a cool .25 a meg over that 5gig limit.
Sounds great huh?
Then, when you call them and ask if they can cap your data usage. Or have it shut off at the limit… They say that their engineers have not worked that out.
LIARS!!!
If AT&T can do it… Anyone else can. As a matter of fact… I seem to recall US Cellular having a deal that would shut off your phone if you ran too many minutes.
It only reinforces my opinion of Verizon.
