I have been posting to Instagram and Facebook every night as we stop along our ultimate Summer Road-Trip. I did not think it was possible to move this far, this fast.

We left Illinois Thursday morning about an hour late… and headed to Hoovers National Monument outside Iowa City. You should have heard the moans! When it was all over. We all had a slight appreciation for the former president.
The rest of that day was a monster jaunt across Nebraska to Scott’s Bluff.
From there we started our steamrolling of national parks and historic sites that are in the Junior Ranger program.
So far the trip has been great and I keep an eye on my daughter to see how she is doing. She’s doing fine. The rest of us are struggling! I hurt my neck and have been popping Alieve like tic-tac’s. If Nate wasn’t here to keep pushing Summer on rough and uneven park paths…. This trip would probably be about over!
A few times I have said to Summer that I can head back when she is ready. She has given me an indignant look and asked if we are going to Seattle. We can! I just want to make sure she’s up to it. Plus…. Every-time they complain we are in the RV too much is just more time we are not making to Seattle!
We sit in West Yellowstone tonight after a full day at Yellowstone National Park. We had dreams of hitting the Tetons, but time is a commodity that can turn sour at anytime. Let’s not get greedy. We took the short route out of the park tonight and will be headed to Craters of the Moon NP tomorrow. I asked what Summer wanted to do after and she gave me that look again.
Apparently we are going to drive to Seattle!
We did stay at a hotel in Lincoln City Oregon on the beach a few years ago call Surftides. We have some great memories there…. I may see if we can relive a night along the shore before we head to Pikes Market for a Persoshki.
We will need lots of luck and I appreciate everyone supporting us back home.

What a trip! Blessings along the way for each of you! Stay strong and safe. Enjoy the beautiful creation of our God. I enjoy your posts along the way!
Oh I wish you could see Old Faithful Lodge inside. It is beautiful. We rented a boat at Jenny Lake and took it over to the Tetons. AMazing! Sounds like you are weel along the way!
