Illinois taxes that is… 

What in the world makes people think that this state will be able to keep jobs in Illinois if they raise the sales tax 2%? 

 I’ll bet all the surrounding states are rooting for it…  They get the benefit of people leaving our state for theirs…  And, can raise their own taxes to match in the future.

When can I leave Illinois?  I’m blaming my parents now…  I would pick up the plantation and go if we didnt have so many family members here!  (Just kidding!) (kinda)

I didn’t mention it on here… But last month…  We lost a Timmy.  I had picked up “Gray” Timmy at the Delavan garage sales a few years ago…   He was fully grown… And STARVING!  I didnt know how old he was.  So, he passed away and that left us with 1 Timmy. 

“Flash”, as we like to call her, has been pretty attention starved since she lost her buddy… So, we had to get her a new “mate”.  Otherwise Ang was going to stop working on her flowers…  Flash wont leave her alone!

You know whats funny?  How people who have ads for “Free” kittens want to get all picky on who is getting the cat.  I can understand some reservation if I said it was for food or sacrifice…  But, when we say, it will be an outdoor cat…  I had 2 people tell me “No way”.  And forget about the shelters… They wouldn’t even think of letting us adopt a pet if it was not going to be indoors!

What the Hell is this world coming too?  We have foster kids in this country being treated worse than strays???  Somebody needs to desensitize these folks!  

For the record..  He will be neutered at 6 months.

OK…  Back on track.  We picked up little “Wario” from an ad for free kittens in the paper.  I took the picture with Summer because she can hold the cat without scaring it!  I know Summer is getting all the face time on this blog…  But Aiden was not the person you needed for this pic!

Picked up my tractor from the shop…  Mowed the yard… And traded it that same day before it had a chance to break down.  Above, is a picture of the Cub 3000 Series that will be delivered this week.

Just got the call that I can pick it up… AGAIN! Lets see how it goes this weekend.

Our state Treasurer has come up with a way to sue Oppenheimer for losses in the “Bright Start” college savings program…  Now, on the surface…  This seems great!  Right??? 

I don’t know about you… But I have done nothing but loose money in the market this year with my 401K and Fidelity account…  Can someone sue for me as well?

That money has to come from somewhere…  I suspect we will all be paying for this somewhere down the road!

Once again… I am starting my summer off with a mower problem!  As is the norm with this thing… The Z-Force went in to the shop a second time for belt problems!   I SO want to trade it…  But the guy at the shop says he cant give me much since it has an ongoing problem.   He can give me 300.00 on trade!!!! 

I paid 3500.00 4 years ago for it…  If that were a car…. I would be ready to sue!  Its called a LEMON!

So, I am back to mowing my yard with the Kubota tractor!

I am trying to work on the horse paddock this past weekend… But our new horse feels like he has to be involved with all facets of the construction.
