 I have been driving past this field on the way to Pekin for the past week.  Its all destroyed from some winds that came through last weekend.  There are a few others.   I think it was isolated to South Pekin and Green Valley.  This picture does not give a real perspective on how far the damaged stretched.

In fairness to Aiden… I think Summer was standing a little closer.  I know she is not that much taller than him!

We were at a party today for a friend of Summer and Aiden’s…  And while talking to some of the parents…  It started to become clear to me that we may not be normal parents…

I don’t think other parents travel with their kids as much as we do…  Actually.  Regardless of kids…  It seems like we must get up and go more frequently than most. 

Are we freaks? 

Probably! 

But, at this point… I have the kids trained to travel.  So, I will stick to it.

Wario didn’t came back… And by some accounts he was seen a mile or 2 away from the house.   So, we are going to try it again with a new cat.

We were fortunate that Linda had been called by an employee of the city of Delavan…  There was a stray hanging out at the city building.  He is a baby!  Never in a million years would I take on a kitten that is 4 weeks or so old.  But, they were going to call animal control…  And he/she would never make it.

We gave it a flea bath last night…. And you have NEVER seen so many fleas in your life.  50?  100?  Its hard to say, but it was nice to see them jumping off and dieing after the dip.  Next up…  de-wormer.  I wont even describe what we are seeing when it poops!

Cross your fingers that this little guy makes it.  He’s really young, really skinny, and really riddled with bugs!

If you have the chance…  And you have young kids… I highly recommend it!  The ending is a little anti-climactic, but kids never notice those things!

We’re back… But man did we take a ton of pics… And as a bonus… We have some with Mom and Dad… They met us up in New Buffalo on Wednesday.

New camera, means lots of cool new water shots!  Our Pentax went on the fritz after the beach in Texas…  So, we decided to get something a bit more durable.  Enter the Canon D10.  Its waterproof and 12 megapixels!  Above, we are tossed about in the waves of lake Michigan. 

Unlike last year…  We are getting plenty of warm weather and sunshine at the beach.  Its wonderful.

One low note…  We went to Warren Dunes this morning…  There was a line to get in!!!  So, we headed back to one of the public beach accesses that we have used in years past…  Well, they have restricted it to locals only for 99% of the area.   We made due with a couple of other families in our 50 yard stretch of beach…  But it was a bit of a downer.

On a high note.  Tons of room to play in the water…  The sand bar was pretty wide.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket from a good friend of the show.  Bonus Beer Bob from the Good Beer Show.  Pictured above, Rick from Big Foamy Head, myself and Bob.

The even was held in Madison Wi… I drove up that morning…  Went to the fest…  Relaxed and showed at Rick’s inlaws…  And then headed home that night.  Got back early this morning…. I had to stop and sleep!  I was wiped out!

Wario Timmy is missing. I am guessing that he took about 10 steps out into a field…. And got lost. If he shows back up… It will be a minor miracle. The beans and corn are pretty high.

The kids made signs… And they have placed them in the mailboxes of all the neighbors… We are event putting them on the street signs.
