You know… We tried to make the best plans for having the family over… And we were led to a conclusion that Sunday would be better than Monday…
Well, today was a far nicer day! Sunny and warm… Wonderful!
When the weatherman blows this call… He usually sits there with an “Ahhh Shucks” kinda look, and says something like, “Today turned out far nicer than we predicted”. WHAT A RACKET!
I have been trying to post some Google Earth images from Angs rides… But I cant get the images to fill in to the post like it should… So, even though I could go the long way and post photos via “FTP” and such… I will not bother right now. I will try to get it straightened out. In the meantime… Use the Picasa link on the left to see new pictures from May.
Aiden learned how to ride a 2 wheel bike this weekend… He promptly rode it down to the waterway with Summer and rode back and forth till he was covered with mud. We were so happy to see his little legs chugging along that we could care less how dirty he got.

Not much, just Eric out cooking on the grill, and the kids putting on a dangerous stunt show.
This is not the big news that I was talking about in the last post. Lets just say that we are working on something… And it seems to be taking some time to come to an agreement!
I was thinking the other day… This will probably be a lame year for us as far as news goes… No trips to Europe… No giant 2 week trail rides across the US… Man, what will I talk about?
Ang is trying to do a ride in Michigan this year, its called Shore to Shore… And just like the name indicates… You ride from one side of Michigan to the other. One complication that has reared its head in the past week. Ang is trying to do some training rides with her horses… And Hershey still appears to be wounded from last year. He rode 10 miles earlier this week, and the next day was limping. No good. Looks like the Vet will have to come in and tell us what needs to be done. That leaves Ang with one horse for the season… And as anyone in the sport knows… One is not enough to get through a competitive season. (I kinda made all that last part up… Since I am not a horse person… But it has been presented to me several times that another horse would be a great help. I am trying to do the rationalizing while blogging)
Foot Update: Its holding weight without problem… But man is it tight! And don’t even think about rocking my ankle too far forward or back! Ouch! I see the doc tomorrow. At this point, I have not been put on any kind of therapy regimen… I assume that will change, or I will be given some direction. My foot looks really wicked right now… I got a sunburn on it while mowing last weekend… And sunburns look twice as bad when the skin is all swollen up! People gasp when they see my foot!
I have added a contact page to the site. See the menu at the top. In case anyone forgot our email.
I have also added a direct link to Summer’s Camera page on our Picasa site. Now you can go directly to her photos. The comment feature appears to have been turned off… If you feel inclined to leave a comment on any post. Now you should be able to. Have at it!

We are in the works for something really BIG on the news page… But as of right now… No confirmation! Cross your fingers for us either way… Kinda one of those mixed blessing things.
I took a video on Sunday of me grilling out and the general landscape around the farm… Look for that on the front page in the next few days.
